FIVA Culture Awards celebrate and promote the best practices in the promotion, management, research, education, and communication of historic vehicles. This award highlights excellence in historic vehicle preservation and the innovative ways enthusiasts bring these treasures to life.
The Award celebrates and promotes best practices related to historic vehicle promotion, management, research, education and communication.
These include:
- Raising awareness of the specific heritage values that historic vehicles represent
- Recognise achievements in services that protect mobile heritage
- Encourage a greater appreciation of the cultural impact of historic vehicles
The Culture Awards would comprise the following three categories:
- RESEARCH
- DEDICATED SERVICE by INDIVIDUALS or ORGANISATIONS (CLUBS, FEDERATIONS, MUSEUMS), ETC.
- EDUCATION, TRAINING and the raising of AWARENESS
How to make a nomination?
Anyone is free to make a nomination (not just FIVA members), as long as the entry is submitted no later than 31st August each year. Please send the application to secretary@fiva.com and culture@fiva.com.

WINNERS 2022
The FIVA Culture Award for raising awareness was assigned to the municipality of Nova Gorica, for its efforts in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of historic motoring.
Another FIVA Culture Award was assigned to Mr. Marco Ocana, for his outstanding efforts in promoting historic vehicle culture in Mexico
WINNERS 2021
- For the research category “Forgotten Antique Motorcycle” exhibition, organized by Juris Ramba – Latvia: The challenge to research and prepare all the material relating to the was clearly a major undertaking. The successful result fully aligns with the FIVA Preservation and Promotion objectives.
- For the Dedicated Service category: The Dirriyah Annual Classic Car Festival, with the involvement of all regions of the Kingdom and the Arab Gulf Countries, is a cultural highlight that fully aligns with FIVA’s global objectives.
- For the Education, Training, and Awareness-Raising category: The project for advanced technical education and training “Istruzione e Formazione Tecnica Superiore” shows all the attributes we would expect for a winner in this category and fully aligns with FIVA’s global objectives. Including bringing young technicians into our movement
