The ACP – Automóvel Club de Portugal, as organizer of Passeio dos Ingleses 2025, aims to minimize the environmental impact of the race, and be an example in environmental issues, both nationally and internationally.

In this sense, the organization defined a series of initiatives, with the aim of mitigating the environmental risks identified for the event, such as:

• Waste management – ​​bags will be made available by the organization to segregate the waste produced, which will be placed in the administrative areas of the race, and in other places where the possibility of production has been identified;
• Fuel refueling – refueling will be carried out exclusively at service stations identified in the roadbook, which guarantee adequate safety conditions, including the necessary equipment to act in the event of an accidental fuel spill;
• Soil protection – during the event, the ACP logistics team will carry spill containment kits, for immediate action in case of identification of an accidental spill of oil or other potentially dangerous liquid;
• Noise emission – in order to ensure that noise levels produced during the race do not exceed the limits defined by national and local legislation, participants are requested to avoid the production of unnecessary noise, especially sudden accelerations or braking, in all areas associated with the event;
• Emission of greenhouse gases – the emission of greenhouse gases associated with fuel consumption is inevitable in an automotive event, which is why it is essential to implement solutions that neutralize their emission into the atmosphere. In this sense, as an action to mitigate the CO2 produced during the Passeio dos Ingleses 2025, ACP will count the emissions associated with total fuel consumption, including participants' vehicles, assistance vehicles and organization vehicles, and subsequently compensation through the purchase of certified carbon credits on the international market.

The implementation of the actions identified above constitutes the necessary conditions for defining Passeio dos Ingleses 2025 as a Responsible Event, within the scope of the Sustainable ACP program:



We call on everyone involved to comply with good environmental practices, in particular:
• Deposit all waste produced in the respective bags or containers, and do not throw any type of waste on the floor, including butts and cigarette butts;
• Do not spill oil, fuel, or other dangerous liquids on the floor;
• Avoid the emission of unnecessary noise (sudden accelerations and braking, etc.);
• Communicate to the organization any identified environmental incident (for example, accidental oil spill), to apply the defined containment plan.
