The Coppa Milano-Sanremo, born at the beginning of the 20th century, was the brainchild of a group of pioneering “gentlemen drivers” who sought to create an adventurous journey for wealthy enthusiasts. This daring ride led participants from the bustling streets of Milan to the vibrant spring colors of the Ligurian Riviera. Thanks to its timeless format, the race has become a landmark event, drawing increasing numbers of international participants and gaining popularity among women, inspiring the creation of the special “Ladies’ Cup.”
Interrupted in 1973 due to the oil crisis, the Milano-Sanremo was revived in 2003 as a historical commemoration. Since then, it has attracted collectors worldwide eager to experience the iconic route from Milan to Sanremo, the City of Flowers.
Following the success of its previous edition, the 16th Historical Revival of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo promises participants an array of exciting new features, technical challenges, and opportunities to explore stunning landscapes. One of the most anticipated highlights is the event’s return to the newly renovated Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, where entrants will undergo technical and sports inspections and compete in enhanced special trials. The first day will conclude with a glamorous welcome dinner at the legendary Riva Shipyard on Lake Iseo.
The renewed four-day route includes traditional stops in Tortona, Rapallo, Genoa, Asti, Sanremo, and Loano, culminating in the awards ceremony at the Automobile Club Milano.
