Diekirch, 14 November 2024 - The exhibition ‘Rétrospective Robert Opron - La tendresse de l'absolu’, a collaboration between the Conservatoire National de Véhicules Historiques (CNVH) in Diekirch and the Amicale Robert Opron, has been awarded the FIVA Culture Prize for ‘Dedicated Service’. The international award from the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) recognises the exceptional achievement and commitment of the team, which is passionately dedicated to preserving the legacy of the visionary French automobile designer Robert Opron. Since the opening of the exhibition, thousands of visitors have already been welcomed, including the French Embassy from Luxembourg.
A milestone for the CNVH
Georges Carbon, President of the CNVH, expressed his pride at receiving the award:

The CNVH welcomed Geneviève Opron, the artist's widow, as a guest of honour at the official opening of the exhibition which took place on May 18, 2024. Her presence lent a personal touch to the occasion and emphasised the exhibition's close ties with the Opron family. The French ambassador to Luxembourg, Claire Lignières-Counathe, was also present together with the diplomatic delegation and emphasised the cultural and historical significance of this retrospective through her participation.
