Monterey Week is a prestigious event for car enthusiasts, and this year was no exception as the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) proudly presented the FIVA Preservation Award at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.
Malcolm Grubb, FIVA Vice President and Chairman of the Events Commission, had the honour of presenting this esteemed award. The FIVA Preservation Award, a collaboration between FIVA and the Hagerty Drivers Foundation, is a tribute to the legacy of Dr. Fred Simeone, a renowned advocate for automotive preservation. McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty, joined Grubb during the presentation, symbolizing the shared commitment to preserving automotive history.
This year’s award went to a truly remarkable vehicle: the impeccably maintained 1963 Jaguar E-Type FHC. This iconic car is a testament to the passion and dedication that FIVA upholds in its mission to safeguard the heritage of historic vehicles.
As an organization, FIVA remains unwavering in its commitment to preserving the legacy of classic automobiles like this Jaguar E-Type. By recognising and celebrating the importance of preservation, FIVA ensures that the rich history of these vehicles will continue to inspire and captivate future generations.
